Carter Shocket is a trans and queer interdisciplinary artist from North Carolina living and working in Brooklyn, New York.

His work explores queer theory and trans experience through woven sculpture, tapestry, and installation. He’s interested in the otherwordly reality that transness can usher in— something he calls the trans supernatural. 

He often maps and diagrams the world through a trans lens– sculptures of non-linear timelines, clocks based on the half-life of Testosterone, and calendars made from communal care schedules.
