“The Eleventh Hour: the last possible moment before it is too late…” — Gallery Founder & Director Lindsey Acree

Eleventh Hour Art is pleased to open its new gallery and working studio space at 61 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11201 on April 27th, 2023 with Opening at the Eleventh Hour, a group show of the gallery’s nine resident artists. The curated show points to each artists’ eleventh hour, from breakthroughs in identities to changing life paths. The intense color, clarity of forms, and dark moods of the collected work creates a sense of urgency and presses visitors— when is your eleventh hour? What will you do before it’s too late?

For artist, founder, and gallery director Lindsey Acree, dedicating her life to art was a choice made at her eleventh hour. Since that moment almost two years ago, she has cultivated a growing community of artists who work, show, and create together. Eleventh Hour Art’s new space provides an artistic home for these artists as well as for the community, with a split storefront that hosts working studio space, art events and workshops, and a robust season of exhibitions.

The gallery invites the neighborhood and art lovers across New York City to see their new 1200 square foot artistic hub in Brooklyn Heights, to get to know the resident artists, and to experience their work. Opening at the Eleventh Hour will run from April 27 – May 1 with an opening reception on April 27th from 7 – 10pm.

Featuring Lindsey Acree, Mikal Bien-Aimé, Alexa Esposito, Sophie Haulman, Aleah Leary, Alejandro Portela, Carter Shocket, Ginger Snow, and Yung-wu.
