Boys, a solo exhibition by Ginger Snow Semmelhack, invites viewers into playful, surreal scenes that blur the line between horseplay and affection. Semmelhack reinterprets masculinity as something tender, physical, and strangely liberating. Drawn from childhood observations, the paintings in Boys reflect a fantasy of male connection, depicting young men engaging in ritual and closeness—moving through space with ease and physicality. This series serves as a meditation on admiration, envy, and longing for a world that has always felt out of reach. This exhibition explores the softness of platonic love through a rose-tinted female gaze.
